Middle Michigan Development Corporation and Greater Gratiot Development Inc are thrilled to announce the launch of the Middle Michigan | Greater Gratiot Emerging Leader Awards, an initiative designed to recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals under the age of 40 who have demonstrated remarkable achievements and contributions to their communities in Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella and Osceola counties.
The Middle Michigan | Greater Gratiot Emerging Leaders Awards will shine a spotlight on 40 exceptional young individuals who have exhibited exceptional leadership, dedication and impact within the Mid-Michigan region. These individuals have not only achieved great personal success, but they have also played pivotal roles in positively shaping their communities, fostering growth and inspiring others to make a difference.
Nominations for the Middle Michigan | Greater Gratiot Emerging Leaders Awards will be accepted from August 28th through September 19th, 2023. We encourage community members, colleagues, friends and family to nominate deserving young leaders who have gone above and beyond to create positive change in the Mid-Michigan area.
The culmination of this recognition will take place at this year’s “Coming Home: Middle Michigan” event, scheduled for October 13th at the Courtyard by Marriott in Mt. Pleasant, MI. The event will occur from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

The recognition at Middle Michigan: Coming Home will allow the Emerging Leaders the opportunity to connect with others considering a move to the area. The event aims to foster a sense of pride in our region while also connecting graduating students and returning alumni from area Universities and colleges with local employers.
