Amanda Scott: Rural Readiness Coordinator
Amanda Scott is a Rural Readiness Coordinator with the Michigan Office of Rural Prosperity, where she helps rural communities strengthen local capacity, build partnerships, develop actionable projects, and access resources to advance local priorities. She brings more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit administration, grant and fund development, housing, planning and zoning, workforce, and community development. A graduate of Michigan State University’s James Madison College, Amanda has served as a planning commissioner, brownfield redevelopment authority chairperson, housing commissioner, and on other local boards and committees. Across her work, she specializes in translating complex tools and opportunities into practical strategies that help rural communities move priorities from ideas to implementation.
