As of January 22, 2021 at 12 pm the Michigan Small Business Survival Grant Application period has closed.

About the Michigan Small Business Survival Grant:

 The Michigan Small Business Survival Grant (MSBSG) Program is the latest effort to assist small businesses with their economic recovery. Eligible businesses located in Arenac, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella and Midland counties were eligible to receive grants of up to $20,000 if they were completely closed or up to $15,000 if they were partially closed as a result of the November 2020 and December 2020 Gatherings and Face Mask Order, need working capital to cover business related expenses and can demonstrate an income loss.

Middle Michigan Development Corporation was one of 15 organizations within the State of Michigan that was selected to help facilitate the administration of this program.

Application Review Timeline:

  • All applications will be reviewed and scored beginning on Monday, January 25th
  • Awardees will be notified by Tuesday, January 26th
  • Notified grantees will have until 5 pm on Thursday, January 28th to return a completed contract, a completed W-9 and a completed ACH transfer form by one of the following: Email:  ; Fax: (989) 773-2115; or in-person to the MMDC office located at 200 East Broadway Street in downtown Mt. Pleasant
  • Our goal is to distribute funds by Friday, January 29th.
